Sarah Michelle Getto was born blind and with a severe cleft palate. She graduated “summa cum laude” in 2007 from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a degree in music education.

Sarah’s dream is to teach music at the elementary level. She’s also interested in becoming a Music Therapist. Sarah was inspired by music educators her entire life and wants to pass on some of that inspiration to her students one day. Sarah began teaching herself to play the piano at age 3 and the violin at 10. She also plays the guitar, bass and the autoharp. She started composing music in her early teens. Sarah writes music in many styles including Country, Pop, Adult Contemporary, Classical and Christian. She also enjoys composing Instrumental Sound Tracks. She does all of her recording in her own studio.

Sarah was mainstreamed through Norman Public Schools in Oklahoma, where she learned Braille. During her early education, she developed a love of music of all types. In high school, she sang in the choir and played violin in the orchestra. At night she would write songs, performing them as often as she could. Sarah graduated from high school with a 4.0 grade point average and nearly maintained that with the exception of a couple of “B’s” throughout college. As a freshman at SOSU, she was introduced to opera.

Sarah placed First in the State, at the National Association of Teachers of Singers (NATS) competition, a remarkable accomplishment and a credit to her vocal coach. Additional musical highlights have been performing with the Oakridge Boys for an audience of 30,000 and placing 3rd in the 2006 Billboard Magazine World Songwriting Competition.

Since graduating from college, Sarah has performed all across the country at Music Shows, Conventions, RV Resorts, Rallys, and Samborees. Sarah is an avid RV owner herself and has traveled over 50,000 miles during the last two years, entertaining tens of thousands of recreational vehicle enthusiasts in 26 states. Her show features music originally recorded by Anne Murray, Karen Carpenter, The Supremes, Captain and Tennille, Alison Krauss, and many other Pop, Country and Gospel performers.

Sarah also enjoys performing and recording Christmas music, producing the CDs herself. On her recordings, she plays and sings all of the instrument and vocal parts. Sarah performs several holiday concerts each year that in addition to the warm rich stereo sound tracks and vocals, include elaborate stage lighting and special effects. Sarah is inspiring to audiences of all ages.
